WHAT WE TELL OURSELVES

     A Wise (but not old) Friend once shared something with me that I found to be helpful.
He had taken a class and learned about the messages we tell ourselves each and everyday.
This was about the negative messages we tell ourselves over and over again.   Well I knew this to be true for me so it got my attention right away.    He ask me to write down all of the things I tell myself,  example,  I should do this,  I'm not good at... ,  I could have done more work today,  etc...
The list could go on.   But the amazing part came when he shared with me that if I wrote down all of the negative things I tell myself,  the list may only be 10 things.  Of course even 10 things repeated could add up to a lot.   So I tried it,  and he was right.   The negative things I repeated  to myself was not a very long list,  and once I realized this it was time to replace those negative messages with a positive message.
And it works!!!!!!    We really do have control over our thoughts!!!  
Now that was GREAT ADVICE!!!!   Thank you D.K.
